Thank you for visiting our website. We are on a journey and we would like to share that with you.
We are a small, youthful group in the process of preparing to launch a new church. We are made up of people with a real desire to know God better, follow Jesus and reach out to those around us. We come from various backgrounds; Non-denominational, Evangelical, Episcopalian, Catholic. We share a deep appreciation for the bible as the Word of God. We have a profound love for Holy Communion. We recognize our dependence upon the Holy Spirit. We believe that if we are going to be spiritual we have to truly practice our faith. So we are on a journey.
In the faith communities we came from we have experienced the joy of modern worship bands and raised hands, but found that the experience left us craving more depth. Some of us came from journeys in mainline denominations that expressed compassion towards those different from ourselves but sacrificed truth in the process. Others came from newer denominations that tried to re-invent the church only to discover the same problems turned up over time. As we passed through these religious landscapes our journey led to an unexpected place - to the church unchanged from the beginning - Orthodox Christianity. Here we have discovered two thousand years of unbroken and uncorrupted Christian teaching and practice.
Now our journey leads us to explore the establishment of a Western Rite Mission of the Antiochian Orthodox Church. Our services are not yet ready for prime time, but you are welcome to join us.
